Children's Home Society

Children's Home Society's "Mentors Opening Doors Enriching Lives" (M.O.D.E.L.) Program needs male and female volunteers to mentor at-risk youth between the ages of four to 14. You can be a friend to a child in need.  Go to the park, library, mall, museum, play sports, or just spend time together.

In this one-to-one mentoring program, each youth is matched with a trained adult mentor with the goal of building trust and communication that will help the child perform better in school, have stronger family relationships, and be more equipped to avoid negative activities or peer relationships. The commitment is for only one hour a week for one year.

Make a difference with us and offer a child the gift of your time and friendship! In addition to individual volunteers, we will partner with faith-based organizations and businesses to provide mentors to these at-risk youth.

If you are interested in becoming a volunteer or referring a child, please call us at 904-493-7747. We look forward to hearing from you!  (See: Children's Home Society)
