Although residential growth has slowed some, Baker County continues to grow. New homes are still being constructed in approved, existing subdivisions. The developers of the counties first DRI, Development of Regional Impact, are still working with officials in the county and state to secure approval to construct an age restricted community of six thousand dwellings. We have also seen several new retail and customer service businesses open in our county in the past year.
Some of these new businesses include a center to assist the hearing impaired, two printing businesses, two national home builders with sales centers, a restaurant, a real estate sales office, a bank, an auto parts store, a pharmacy, a specialty store for yarn and knitting supplies, and a business that rents a space walk and other inflatable games for childrens' parties.
Darryl Register, Executive Director, invites you to call the Baker County Chamber of Commerce at 904-259-6433 to find out how they can help your business grow.
